I was inspired on a recent walk to read aloud to you from The Tremble of Love that we might meet at the inner well of Love.
As those of you who have read The Tremble of Love know, the novel illuminates timeless themes, including the power of Love. Now, as much if not more than ever, is a great time to be in Love. Together.
My intention is to gift readers, i.e., listeners, a short recording (video and audio) every other week. These will be 3-7 minute-long, standalone passages. In this first recording, I will be reading the Preface and Author’s Note.
A note before you scroll to the video: The Tremble of Love is set in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth of the 1700s, in the area that is now western Ukraine. May our connection through The Tremble of Love add to the love and longing for peace surrounding that region and our world. Here also is a beautiful, timely prayer (from Marianne Williamson). Dear God, Amen |
Below the video is an audio option if you prefer to just listen.
Audio only:
If you have not yet read The Tremble of Love, learn more here. You can find information where to get hardcover, paperback, eBook or audiobook editions here.
Please, if you are inspired by these recordings and by The Tremble of Love, A Novel of the Baal Shem Tov, share the word with friends and others who may be interested. And if you haven’t yet, do JOIN MY INNER CIRCLE to make sure to receive coming recordings.
May we know and be the power of Love.
Ani

I close with this customary greeting whose literal meaning is: "a good final sealing." I will add to that: May you know the love of which you are made. What better than to know this?
With gratitude,
Ani

Hello, Ani!!
I sent a copy of your beautiful book to a dear friend of mine. I asked her last month how she liked it…she apologized that she hadn’t started it yet, there was just too much going on with her family.
Fast forward to this evening, I get a text from her that she “can’t put the book down. I am so enjoying this beautiful story!” Yay!!!
Just listened and watched you reading The Preface and Author’s Note. Your voice is so soothing, it just makes me want to take a deep breath, relax, and be read to! Cant wait for the next reading!
Oh Wanda, your message brings tears to my eyes (in a good way—what I call Love tears). Thank you so much for sharing something you have loved, this book, The Tremble of Love, with someone you love.
I often think that people read and enter this novel at the perfect time to enter their own hearts. I hope the book blesses your friend’s life and her family. Love does that.
Thank you so much also for taking the time to comment here! It makes me happy that you listened to and watched the first of these recordings that I have been inspired from within to share, and that my voice inspired you to take a deep breath and relax. How great is that?! (I don’t have that perspective on my voice, being inside myself and it–well, in a manner of speaking.) 😉 I do want to be the best possible vessel I can be for the vessel this book is. So it is heartening to hear your experience.
Again, thank you!
💜
Ani
Next recording coming to you early morning March 13th.
DEAR ANI,
Listening to you read those wonderful words about that great man is healing for me. Much love and goodness to you.
Dear Diana,
First, thank you so much for writing here. I believe one of, if not the primary reason for the existence of The Tremble of Love, A Novel of the Baal Shem Tov, is healing. When we root in love, that is what happens.
Much love and goodness to you as well, dear one.
🙏🏽
Ani
Lots of love to you who bring love and light to the world. xoxox. Diana
Love this, Ani!
Oh Shelly, I am so happy you “dropped in.” It’s a true pleasure to introduce you to The Tremble of Love, a story filled with miracles, as I read to you——the greatest being our capacity for love.
💜
Ani
Dear Ani,
This is so beautiful. YOU are so beautiful! And cute! 🙂 I love the colors on you, and your earrings, and the beautiful curtain behind you. Well done!
Your voice is beautiful too, and your connection to the Love we are talking about is clear.
Thank you!!!
Love,
Karuna
Hi Karuna,
Your comment made me chuckle. Our connection to the Love is, of course, what is most important, as you know. The rest——well, part of the offering.
And you know what’s funny? I have avoided cameras all my life and still tend to do so. But there truly was an inner prompting guiding me, which included offering this via video (as well as audio) so that there would be more of a connection with listeners. How I get past my preference for hiding is to look straight into my eyes and imagine those who will receive this right there on the other side…
And you, dear one, received all of it (even the earrings). 😉🤓
Blessings,
Ani
Ani, this was wonderful and what divine timing to be connecting with the Eastern European world at this time. Thank you
Yes, dear Cynthia. (Do you prefer to be called Cindy?)
It is so so heartening to witness all the love surrounding Ukraine now and in a context of unified actions among Europeans. I cannot help but juxtapose this time and this invasion with those committed in 1938 and the years right after. The world was not unified as it is now.
Amen and amen.
Blessings upon you, Ukraine, and our world,
Ani
Dear Ani,
So happy to see and hear you this morning, and remember the Tremble of Love! I look forward to future readings. You are inspiring me to think of reading the book again. Many blessings indeed!
Warms my heart to hear from you, John. Your inspired musical accompaniment when we shared The Tremble of Love at Grace Church remains unforgettable for me. Perhaps we can do it together again? For now, countless blessings on your creative and soulful endeavors. I know they are contributing to the web of peace we are weaving and trying to strengthen.
With love always,
Ani
Dearest Ani,
Thank you for the opportunity to be read to by you..this beautiful work, The Tremble of Love, you have accomplished and given to us. Bless your beautiful heart.
With love and gratitude,
Marcie
Oh Marcie, I breathe in and receive your blessings. Tears right now. Tears of love, as I tell my grandchildren when my eyes well up because they touched my being by theirs. as you are right now.
Thank you for receiving what is indeed intended as a gift, The Tremble of Love itself and now these shared recordings. The book is no less a gift to me that I received and wrote down. When one offers a gift and it is received, that means so much and inspires more giving. So thank you, thank you.
With much love and gratitude for your tender, open heart, Marcie.
Ani
Dear Ani, I recall reading your book during a difficult time. I will always hold onto the love and beauty of his life, recalled in your writing of him. It is exactly what we need right now. So relevant and timely.
Love and peace.
Abbie–thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to comment here. I hope all is well in your life and heart, which I know is full of powerful longing for peace in our world.
It is no accident that The Tremble of Love was published in November of 2016 and that I got an inner nudge a couple weeks back to start sharing it this way, through the reading of excerpts.
I don’t have to be with you or know the details to know your loving, compassionate presence is contributing to the Love and Light infusing our planet and so so needed now.
With much love,
Ani
